Review: Perfect Grade Gundam 00 Raiser

After a while of schooling in Toronto, I came back and did some touches to 00 and it’s finally complete…sort of.

Still some work has to be done but I’ll be doing that another time.

So I guys I’ll start off with an intro to those who don’t know this Gundam.

This is from the series Gundam 00 which takes place in the AD timeline. The 00 Gundam is the main Gundam for the series even though it came in the second season after Celestial Being was getting owned. So it has a combination of Exia’s and 0 Gundam’s GN drives. The pilot is Setsuna F. Seiei turns into a genuine innovator with the help of this Gundam. Well geekiness aside here’s the model kit.

So I went three days straight, with sleeping and eating, building this thing and it was difficult.

From snapping on to the parts to following the instructions, it was hard and confusing. After the build was done I was satisfied…sort of. I warn those who build this kit…GO SLOW! Do NOT build two parts at the same time…my ignorance lead to cutting off some plastic so that I don’t have to rebuild it again. Otherwise, the pose-ability and durability of this kit is phenomenal! You can put a 5 pound dumbbell to this thing and attach it to the leg and it wont bend! Wow for being such a pain in the ass to build, the GN-condensers do the promised job. The only downfall is that its a pain trying to bend the pieces for more posing possibilities. You would have to squeeze the joints and bend and like most model kits, pieces or attached weapons will fall off and it’s annoying.

The stand it comes with is pretty good but putting the model kit on top makes it lean a little considering one small peg can “handle” a heavy kit.

Unfortunately the attachment for Gundam 00 broke off but I could attach 0 Raiser to it.

Besides the 00 Gundam, the 0 Raiser was easy and fast to build. I would consider customizing or doing anything else to it first before the big one. Also the weapons attachment looks just bad ass on the thing…even though the pilot was pathetic and weak. Well 00 looks better standing anyways, kinda bored when it looks like it’s flying all the time.

The weapons are pretty cool too….yeah that’s just about it -_-

Overall, I would recommend this kit to anyone who’s a fan of the series.
